CASE STUDY · LOCAL SEO · SEARCH & AI VISIBILITY
From no website to measurable search and AI discovery.
Son Life Lawn & Landscaping entered 2026 as an established local business without a website. After launching its first search-structured site in March, Organic Search became its dominant website acquisition channel, 268 new service inquiries were submitted through the site, and its content began earning visibility across traditional Google Search and Google's reported generative AI features.
Measurement period: March 15–August 30, 2026. Generative AI Features reporting begins May 18 in the available Search Console export.
Verified proof
- 268 new service inquiries: verified website form submissions.
- 6,361 total website sessions and 3,550 active users.
- 5,111 Organic Search sessions, just over 80% of reported sessions.
- 3,125 Google Search clicks from 16,646 impressions.
- 1,449 Google Generative AI Features impressions from the available May 18–August 30 report.
Starting condition
The business already existed. Its owned search presence did not.
Son Life already had customers, trucks in the field, word-of-mouth referrals, Facebook activity and an established local reputation. It did not have a website, an owned organic-search destination, a service-page search architecture, an owned website inquiry path or a website performance baseline.
Intervention
Search structure was built into the website instead of added afterward.

- Local relevance
- Search-focused content
- Conversion paths
- Measurement
Business-action evidence
The website form system recorded 268 new service inquiries. These are actual submissions through the service-inquiry form, not inferred conversions.
Why Goldeneye does not report 2,972 leads
During the same period, GA4 attributed approximately 2,972 generate_lead key events to Organic Search. Goldeneye does not report that number as 2,972 leads because the business's form platform recorded 268 actual new service inquiries.
A metric's label does not determine what the evidence proves.
Existing demand vs new discovery
Most Google Search clicks during the measured period came from branded searches and brand variations. The website successfully began capturing existing brand demand. It also began appearing for non-branded local/service searches such as lawn care near me, landscapers near me, landscaping near me, lawn service near me, lawn care services The Villages, lawn care services Wildwood and other service-specific searches.
Branded demand currently drives most Google Search clicks, while the site is also beginning to earn visibility across non-branded lawn care, landscaping, local-service and near-me searches.
Generative search evidence
Google Search Console recorded 1,449 Generative AI Features impressions from May 18 through August 30 across the homepage and multiple service, contact, About and informational pages.
Report these as Google Search Console Generative AI Features impressions. Do not call them recommendations, ChatGPT citations or proof of a single optimization causing AI exposure.
Evidence boundary
- Do not claim every organic session represented a new customer.
- Do not claim every service inquiry originated from Organic Search.
- Do not claim SEO created Son Life's existing brand demand.
- Do not claim one optimization caused the observed search performance.
- Do not equate generative AI impressions with recommendations or citations.
- Do not imply the same implementation guarantees the same outcome elsewhere.
Result
Son Life went from having no owned search destination to having a measurable digital acquisition and inquiry channel. The business did not simply get a website. It gained a digital environment that could finally be found, used and measured.
