Multilingual visibility

Can customers find and choose your business in the language they actually use?

The question this service answers

Each meaningful language is its own discovery environment. English results are a baseline, not a substitute for multilingual testing.

An investigation into how your business is found, understood and recommended in the languages and markets that matter to your customers.

When this is useful

Is this the right question for you?

Multilingual Visibility is a focused service. It answers one defined question rather than bundling in a broader program.

  • A meaningful share of your customers search, book or ask in a language other than English.
  • You serve international visitors, seasonal markets or multilingual communities.
  • You have translated pages and do not know whether they changed anything.
  • Your English visibility looks reasonable and you have no idea what the picture looks like elsewhere.
  • You are expanding into a new market and want evidence before committing.

Scope

The framework

Multilingual discovery is tested across six variables together, because changing any one of them changes the result.

  • Audience × Language × Origin × Intent × Location × Discovery System.
  • Goldeneye builds native-language intent sets rather than simply translating English queries, because a translated query is often not the question a native speaker would ask.
  • Each meaningful language is treated as its own discovery environment with its own baseline.

The six dimensions assessed

  • Discovery. Whether the business appears at all for native-language questions.
  • Understanding. Whether the business is described correctly in that language.
  • Accuracy. Whether the claims made match verified business information.
  • Authority. Which sources carry the business in that language environment.
  • Recommendation. Whether the business is actually recommended, not merely mentioned.
  • Competitive presence. Who else occupies that language environment.

How findings are evaluated

Evidence first, then interpretation.

Every language is reported separately

  • Findings are recorded per language and per market, never averaged into a single score.
  • Observed results are separated from supported inference and from what remains unknown.
  • Language, market, location and test assumptions are documented so results can be retested the same way.
  • English results are reported as a baseline for comparison, not as a substitute for the other languages.

The Goldeneye evidence standard

  • Observed. Something Goldeneye directly saw in a captured result, source or platform report.
  • Supported inference. A reasonable conclusion the observed evidence supports, stated as an inference rather than a fact.
  • Unknown. Something the available evidence cannot establish. Goldeneye reports it as unknown rather than filling the gap.

What you receive

What lands in your hands.

  • A per-language findings review across the six dimensions.
  • Native-language intent sets used in testing, documented for reuse.
  • Where the business is discoverable, where it is misunderstood and where it is absent.
  • Documented language, market, location and test assumptions.
  • A clear view of what deserves correction, monitoring, investigation or no action in each language.

Important boundaries

  • This is not a translation service. Goldeneye investigates discovery, not copywriting or localization delivery.
  • Translated pages alone do not necessarily improve AI or search visibility, and this work does not assume they will.
  • Implementation is separate from the investigation and is not included by default.
  • A language is not assumed to matter because of geography alone. Selection is evidence led.

Language selection

Not sure which languages matter?

Most businesses guess at this, and the guess is usually geographic. Language selection should be based on actual audience and market evidence, not on where the business happens to sit.

  • Who is actually inquiring, booking, visiting or calling, and in what language.
  • Where visitors and customers originate, including seasonal and travel patterns.
  • Which languages appear in reviews, messages, referrals and staff experience.
  • Which markets your competitors are already being found in.
  • Which languages carry real commercial intent rather than incidental traffic.
  • Where the evidence is thin, we say so and test rather than assume.
